Morocco has launched a new digital platform for international investors to access business opportunities in Laâyoune.

The LaayouneConnect platform will offer a platform for local entrepreneurs to connect with investors from across the globe. The website is funded by the American Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI).

It is the latest phase of a joint MEPI-Moroccan initiative aimed at increasing investment and economic interest in local business in the regions of Dakhla and Laâyoune, and follows the launch earlier this year of the DakhlaConnect digital platform.

Both platforms are aimed at promoting the respective regions’ economic assets and investment opportunities, by facilitating business-to-business exchanges and propositions across various sectors, including agribusiness, fisheries and aquaculture, renewable energy, tourism and logistics.
