Reaching for the sky Work on a US$100 million twin-tower project in Rwanda has commenced. Envisioned as a regional hub for financial services, Kigali Financial Square will be built between Kigali City Hall and the Ecobank building. One tower will house 24 floors for offices, while the other will have 20 storeys reserved for a hotel and residential units, as reported by the New Times. Construction is expected to last for two years. Once complete, the development will be the tallest building in Kigali, surpassing the 20-floor Kigali City Tower, which was completed in 2011 at a cost of US$20 million. The property will be developed by Equity Holding Venture Capital, an investment arm of financial services company Equity Group. 28 June 2022 Image: Gallo/Getty Images
