Set for take-off Construction of the new Lekki International Airport in Nigeria’s Lagos State is set to begin in 2023. According to Global Construction Review, the airport, which has been given the go-ahead by the federal government, will be built on 3 500 ha in the Lekki-Epe area and will have an initial capacity of 5 million travellers. It is part of state’s development plan for 2022 to 2052, which prioritises infrastructure development.
