Open access Ground has been broken on Tanzania’s Dodoma City Outer Ring Road project. The 112.3 km road links to both the Trans-African Highway Corridor (which spans from South Africa to Egypt) and the Central Corridor. The development is part of the AfDB’s Integrate Africa project, and is expected to improve accessibility to and around the city of Dodoma and the region, and reduce transport costs and travel times once completed. The total project cost is US$214.69 million, of which the AfDB is funding 65%.
