Let it flow Eleven more towns in the DRC now have access to clean drinking water. An estimated 168 000 residents in the Kasai Oriental province are being supplied with water from mini networks, which were installed under Phase 1 of the Socio-Economic Infrastructure Strengthening Project (PRISE). ESI Africa reports that the drinking-water project involved extending the water network in the province by 60 000m, adding 123 standpipes and providing increased storage capacity of 680 ㎥.
